Who should you refer?

Clients who are:

  • Over 18 years old

  • Suffering from depression, anxiety, or other common mental health problems, including those with long-term physical health conditions

  • Living in England and being registered with a GP surgery

  • Not under secondary care mental health services

  • Not in crisis: FortisMinds is not a crisis service and is not able to work with patients at risk of suicide.

If you think that your patient is at risk of harm to themselves or to/from others, then please encourage them to contact our Single Point of Access service (Crisis Line), which is open 24 hours a day: 0800 0234 650

How to refer

You can refer patients through one of the following means:

  • Inform clients that they can self-refer by contacting FortisMinds directly

  • Complete the referral below

What can a client expect

Treatments are long-term and usually 8 to 12 sessions are delivered. The treatments include:

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • Counselling

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Attachment-Focused Therapy

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Play Therapy

  • Mindfulness courses – for depression, or stress and illness
